I got back from rasht.... it was great... the weather was good, and we had fun there :) my aunt came to iran last night too, and now I'm gonna go to a party.... everyone is asking me to get a party.... but I dont feel like it, I just wanna go to parties now!!!!! you know what is the worse thing I did since as soon as I got here????? I throw all my T-shirts in the washing machine and between them there was a RED T-shirt.... you can guess what happened to all my T-shirts, can't you? :(

P.S: I still dont know what have I done with my exams!!!!!

I'm done with the exams and now I am in IRAN :)) (you wanted to be in my shoes, don't you ? ;) ) then go buy from the kickers store ;) but I'm so curious to know my grades. They didn't told us because they were told not to say, and they don't send them by email, and there is neither any online grade checking system. And the worse thing is that I have no clue what I have done in ITN class. Hey here in Iran is much colder than UAE, and that's grate :) I might even go for a mountain climbing till I got time here. I'm gonna to darabad hopefully at least once during this holidays. Your place is empty here too :)

yesterday I had an exam, and the funny thing is that the final exam database was on a database which she have gave us before, so I had exercised the night before on exactly the same database. I loved it! I knew all the tables and the column names by heart and I didn’t had to even look at the tables to see what is the name of tables needed for the questions. I would just look to the question and type in everything from my memory. I even had most of the questions done on my computer from the previous night, but I did not need them. at it was fast enough and easy enough to write them again. and the first part (the theory part) was all from the things which she mentioned NOT TO study and didn’t thought us, so she had to explain everything in the exam session ;) but yet I'm only afraid of the first part. I don’t know how she is going to grade the first part! because I need a full mark which I don’t think I am unless she carve the first part as she didn’t thought us in the class.
and today I'm here to study for the tomorrow's exam, which is so much and usually so hard (THE ITN) and instead I'm surfing the web and reading and writing web logs!!!!! I think I read more than 10 different web logs!!!

today I put my car for repair and guarantee and I gave my car keys to them.... then I came to the university I found that I don’t have my house keys with me!!! so I had to drive all the way back to pick up my keys, thank god I rented a car!!!! Now I'm so damn tired, and I have a good excuse not to study the rest of the day just like I didn’t up to now ;)

hey .... last night we found somewhere called "French connection" which is a coffee shop which gives wireless hot spot connection, and we found that all the customers are from AUD ;) (our university) and because on Fridays our library is closed everyone have gone there to connect and study :) but when we got there, the connection was out!!!!! so we call there "French DISconnection" from now on ;)

if you just know how beautirul is the sky these days around here, I walk and take pictures all the time. once the librarian asked if the reason of me, taking pictures all the time is graduating. and I said no , the sky is beautiful and thats the whole reason :>
oh and you know what I forgot to say something important about dec 1st which wasn't my day!!!! (I played worms and lost 2 times) ;)

and long time nothing here about my newsletter!!!!! remember I said someone wanted to help but his too pushi? well I assigned him one page (but it was a big one) to do and he said I'll do it in one day, and there was no him around me untill 3 weeks ;) but just his email which says (Its sooooo much).... and you what he came up with after all this time?
few pages, empty, with only two blue lines on and the top and one and the buttom (and the funny thing is he said "your gonna love it paya"before showing it) and one of the lines OUT OF TWO LINES couldnt resize itself acording to the window! I really didnt know what to say. but actually it was ok, because I didnt wanted him to design, it was fine to come up with a category (which would take few minutes) but I dont know why people dont try to talk as much as they do!!!! whatever,,...
but the funny thing is he still come and say the pages sucks!!! I guess I have to put more time on it in my own holidays and do the whole thing and make the templates myself, but definitly I would like to get a help from a designer. but someone usefull!!!

in the first class I had a lab session he gave an research at the end I searched and found the answers to all, then he said times up and took our paper but he didn’t took it from others for 2-3 minutes which was enough to copy the rest of answers to my answer page!!!! then I went to register for next term, and you know what!!! they said you can not take the courses I want (the IT courses) and I have to follow the sequence, (THEN WHAT THE HELL IS DIFFRENCE BETWEEN UNIVERSITY AND HIGHSCHOOL) and then the next class's instructor wasn’t here so someone came and gave us an assignment

I got so busy!!!! I had 2 exams and I had 2 guests,..... and you know what!!!
someone just popped up to help with the newsletter, and calls over and over, and he thinks that he's the only person who wants to help!!! however, unlike he thinks I don’t know what happened but everyone wants to do something this term.... and the problem is he is not patient at all and he called me just before my exam and told me that "if I'm busy then I should leave the newsletter to him!!!!!" and that’s even before anything happen!!
he walks on my nerves!!! I have lots of thing to do before he come in....
there is another option for same position too which will be introduced to me by the career manager, and hopefully the other person turn to be a logical person,...
I don’t know what’s the right thing to do ...

wrong!!!! I didnt studied at all, I made Jelly ;) but this time not only Jelly becuase it was 2 exams not one!!! so I bought a four litter chocolate ice cream box with banana, peach, and chocolate sos!!!! MMMMM !!!!!! oh I wanna go home!!!! tonight, its gonna be a hell of a night.... and you know what, during last 2 nights I ate 2 litter of it... so I have 2 litter more :)

I was waiting for a call from the car company to call me and I go and get my car and go home!!!! They just called, and you know what he said?????? He said my car is not gonna be repaired until tomorrow .... and that means that I have to go home with TAXI now..... and tomorrow I'm gonna have to take a taxi again all the way to the car company!!!!! that means at least 57 derhams from here to home!!!!!!! and something like 40 derhams from home to al-yousef motors!!!!!! I can have to 2 parties with such money..... I canceled Elton Jones concert which was for 150 derhams..... (for about a 50 derham more than what I'm gonna have to pay now!!!) I and thinking of whether or not to go to a concert for 60 derhams this Thursday... and this is already more than 100 derhams .... I can get VIP ticket with this money...... maybe its not much here.... but just for a taxi and just for the result of them not doing it on time....... it much more than 20- max 30 derhams which I had expected....

you know what is the most reason I'm writing this long.... that’s because I'm trying to waste time so that maybe something happens.......

ok during this long time I did an exam which I got 89 in it, wasn’t very good but I deserved no more no less! but the presentation!!!!!
I don’t believe it! he gave all the boys of our team 86 the girls one 97 and one 92,
I believe the sude deserved her 97 because she showed an outstanding skills of presentation but the rest of us deserved the same and much more than what we got!
its ok anyway, there is a lot more exams and projects and I can make it up :) and I hope I will :)
uhah! about the newsletter.... I started to make a team, now I have one help who does a page for me, hopefully next week one or two other helps will join :)
now I am doing one page less but I'm recording every page in a spreet sheet so that at the end of the term I can make a complete report for Dr. Hanson, so that it can be a record for their resume.
and about today :)
there is a summer party at AUD pool :) I thought its gonna be a party around the pool but there is lots of stuff going on in the pool :) there will be a water basketball play in the pool! I didn’t knew so I haven’t got my seeming suit!! so I came to library to at least do some chatting and write some here until others come.... I think people are there already, so I'm gonna go check it our ;)

we did a good one :) there was only one group in the other class comparable with us, they had a better organized presentation (maybe mainly because they had handouts and we were overtime) but we were more in details and more professional in the software ;)
This instructor teaches better and grades worse! if we get and A from him is something much more than getting A from the other instructor of this course. but even if we get A in the presentation (IF) it doesn’t mean we can even get a B in this class. he said the exam will be a challenge of time! And we should be able to do many jobs, so just knowing the material is not enough.

Today we had a meeting for our group presentation about macromedia dreamweaver, and we were supposed to make our parts ready. I did made my part ready, although I had to stay awake till 4 a.m and wake up at 6. When I got to the university others just decide to see who should do what, and they changed all my parts and I have to do it al over again!!! :(

today we went to a dirty place which remind me Enghelab sq. resturants ;) the food was lousy and the AC wasnt working properly, so it was so hot! but we had lots of fun there :) (I think others had the worse time in a resturant ever ;) hey and yesterday I won a bet and one of my friends now should jump into the water again :) but this time in front of group members ..... :) huh its gonna be fun for us :) hahaha :)

yesterday it was sude's birthday, and we have a tradition here in AUD that we throw everyone on his/her birthday in the swimming pool!!! :) so ... but there is nothing about executers to jump themselves in the pool, but we call what happened "JAV GEREFTEGY" ;) so we jumped ourselves in the pool too ;) it was fun :) specially in such a hot day :) and then we went to Roundtable pizza :) and we went there WET :)) it was so much fun :)
and I have got a good news! :) after all I learned a new html tag to send the pictures to here! I hope it works :) whenever it works you will be the first to know ;)

2day it was the first real day of the course :) it was fun :)
the instructor explained a little bit about web and html which I already knew! but the fun part was water playing ;)
I dropped a little bit water on faeze and she dropped back the whole bottle!!!!! I was totally wet in the second half :)
hey I want to change my class ;) the other instructor is cool :) we just found a music folder in his shared folder on the network :) its full of old songs :)
now we are fighting for the presentation group ":) we are sitting in front of each other and sending PMs to each other to kick one out because we should be groups of four :)

yesterday I felt like today is gonna be my first day school :) I dont know why but I was somehow excited. I thought I’m gonna meet new friends, but it was the same :)
I spent all Friday between the Sea and a pool, and I’m completely burned now :) I’m skinning like snakes :)

I tried so hard to get 4 for my term GPA but I got 2 Bs.... this is not bad, but its so bad after I C how much I tried....
The funny thing is if I got B in math my instructor is a F student!!!! Because we used to tell him what’s right and what’s wrong!! :(

The funny thing is that they used to give the grades in registration office, they would just enter our name or ID# and the grades would be printed out immediately. But this term we had to wait in a queue and a lady had to look each one's grade of each course from different lists and it would take much more time! "The funny thing is that they was looking to paper to do such thing which they used to do on computers in IT building"

I just came out from my last exam :) everyone said it was so damn hard! and that’s a good sign };-) because it means that there is a better chance for carving :)
I did ok, and I have done lots of extra jobs (I dont know what made me to do such a thing!!!!) so there is a chance to get an A .... wish me luck :)
and last night I did the Math exam.... he told us that it is gonna be the easiest exam, and as his second exam was so damn easy, we thought the hardest question in the final exam would be "Write your name here!" ;) but actually it was the hardest exam, and the thing was he didnt thought some of the question at all and if we answered it was only because we knew the material from high school!!! so I dont know what non-Iranian students did. some of the questions were wrong .... so I wrote the question is wrong, and one of the questions was nonsense.... so I didnt answer... I dont know what I did to the rest..... I prefer not to think about it until the results arrive. but I think we should make a class for the instructor to teach him the material to make sure his gonna know the materials for the next class :)

Oh yeah! I just came out of the exam room.... it was designing a 6-7 page site, which was piece a cake itself. Because, it was open book ;) but yet lots of student couldn't finish it because it was a lot to do in 2 hours. the only part I was angry about was that she told us that those who don't have floppy will lose mark, but she has never told us to bring one!!!! >;-( I don’t know what was wrong with her...... she wasn't like her everyday.... she was keep shouting.... and acting unreasonable. I hope she will be calm while correcting the projects. :)

WooW :) I'm famous now :) I'm on news ;) they put students awads' picture in newsletters .... I can not read the news but my picture is there :) the newsletter was an arabic one :) you C the difference? in azad university we had a BBS full of useful information and lots of activities was going on there and they used to treat us like we owe the university for it, and they told us in a moderators meeting that they could make a lot of money if they would make a restaurant at the same place; however, we have heart that when the Azad Universities Manager have been asked what have you done and what are the achievement, our network was the first issue used to defense his situation. on the other hand, I did something here, maybe not so important but I did it, and that's enough reason for them to award. they don't pay for the job I'm doing, but they appreciate it in other ways. I hope they choose to do the same in Iran.
Once I teached in Azad university 2 years ago ….. I did it because I liked to do so, but they didn’t paid me up to now, which is not so important, but I had so much trouble to get certificate for it, which can be more useful for my resume and it can be done simply and it should be so regular. But here I don’t even need to ask for it, they give certificates as part of the procedure. But yet I should thank the head of Paygah Etela’ Resani of azad university south branch, because even if giving certificate wasn’t so regular they helped me so much to get mine J

first, I got a digital cam :) one of those small but good quality digital cams ;) its a sony cyber shot :)
second, I got an award from my university for the newsletter I design for the university, weekly :)
the students awards ceremony was held in Jomeirah Hotel :)) with Gala dinner :) almost all instructors and university staff were there.
I was thinking of last years students awards which was held in the university auditorium and there was few professors and more students who had nothing else to do. all wearing sport wears and jins. I thought but this time is in Jomeirah Hotel's main conference saloon so I should be a little more ready for a formal dresscode. I wore pants and shirt, but I wasn’t so sure about tie.... but I took one with me just in case. just near the hotel I thought lets read the invitation card, they usually mention there what is the dresscode, I checked and I saw "Black Tie, formal suit" so I tied up my tie and went inside..... pooooffff I was too sport yet :) everyone were so formal and there was more instructors and hardly students :) it was the first time in my life I felt I have to think about a formal suit :) I always thought that I'm gonna wear jins even in my wedding party ;)

hey do you remember I wrote here that my management presentation was not a good one? well but the great was better than what I expected to be, based on the research paper we hand in with the presentation. we got 90 and it was too good, becuase of the presentation. she said we got this great becuase the paper was really good she said she wanted to give 95, but she didnt and the reason is we didnt presented an interesting part of the paper. in fact we couldent becuase that part was just too long to be presented as a part of a 20 minuts presentaion. she said but it was really comprihensive, and I said yes! but the fact is I really didnt read it carefully myself becuase it was too much and it was also a review of other material in the paper ;-> but our presentaion was colorful and with graphs and charts, which I think was the power point. (hey I hope she dont read this blog becuase I fount that it can be searched from google or other search engins) ;)
do you think GPA 4 is a realistic aim ? actually I have lost few points in management quiz (no one got A so there is a chance to be carved) CIS 103 goes fine yet and tommorow I have math exam and I havent studied at all yet, but it seem to be easy.

paniz: no, as you said they didnt chose our team not even as the second, but they said it was a good one! in fact I saw the energizer people and the instructor talking all the time about only our presentation but at the end the gave the prized to 2 other groups. I think one of them was fair but the other one, at least the presentation wasnt so good. they said they won becuase of the research paper, and they said our paper wasnt as good. but at least about budgeting I know that we were much more in details than others. one of my group mates was working in a marketing company and he knew all the prices and even the special offers running at the time. for instance, he even said that in dubai we should have bus printing ads becuase there is a special offer here but there is no such offer in abu dabi so we have to do so and so there.

I had two presentations. The first one was management 250, and it wasn't a good one, but the second one which was CIS 103 I think it was a good one. I really what to sent my slids or at least the show at the first slide which made me to work until 4 a.m last night (this morning) but it is 12 mb so I think no one will wait to download such file just to see how my first slide would look like! it was an .avi with full of information and pictures poping up and down, comming in and out, and dancing through the slide with the Rave music on it! then we started the presentation. I'm almost happy with it, and I hope the instructor liked it, also.
hey the funny thing is the stress is not the information in the presentations in this class, but the use of vitual aids. The visual aids have become a real great compatition between groups! and The others are all great in this part as well. who's best; is really hard to say!

a bad news for those whi no KC. It's willing to be shut down :(

KC (knoledge Centre) is an office which is, or maybe was, willing to distribute children and women rights. It is (was) under unicef, and I can say that it really handled most of the action jobs of UN in Iran. We handled sevral celebrations for children. We wanted to expand out activities; however, there was many limitations from unicef during Dialo's time. then mrs.Ege (I'm not so sure about her name, and I've got to check it) came. I thought this office will be able to expand its actions while I was listening to her introduction seminar. I think she have misunderestood about the ablilities of this office. Becuase even the introduction seminar of her was handled by this office mainly!
